Get to know me :)
Hi guys! My name is Avery Hirsch, and I am an 18-year-old singer/songwriter from Lower Gwynedd Pennsylvania. The style of music that I create is mainly pop with a mix of folk. I love to incorporate lots of strings and harmonies in my music because I feel like it allows for a fuller sound. While balancing schoolwork and the repercussions of Covid-19, I have been lucky enough to be able to play out in a few local restaurants to keep myself actively immersed in my music. Before the shutdown I was playing for weddings, school events, local events, and singing the national anthem at most of the sporting events at my high school. I also had the opportunity to work with the Women’s Center of Montgomery County organization which gave me the opportunity to perform in the Sellersville Theatre and the Chaplin’s Theatre. I love to use my music to help make a change and effect people the way that music has so greatly affected me.
I have always said that I don’t have “music taste” because all music to me is a masterpiece. The range of songs in which I listen to is very wide because every day I search for new artists and crave new sounds in which I haven’t yet heard. Defining my music to a genre is hard for me to do because I feel as though I want to incorporate parts of each of these genres and unique sounds that I have come across into my music in order to give it a sound that draws people in and is original to me.
I am so excited to announce that I am releasing my first EP of my own original song on March 16th! I could not be more excited to say that as I have been working so hard on this collection of songs this past year. This EP consists of music that I started writing freshman year of high school to songs that I just finished a few months ago. I hope you all love it as much as I do! Happy listening!
